Under her tenure as Medical Director, the Pikeville Medical Center Inpatient Rehabilitation unit received the prestigious Excellence through Insight Award given by Healthstream Research for outstanding patient service.

Aspiring to have interventional tools in her vast arsenal to treat pain, she then completed further training in Pain Management at the Jackson Memorial Hospital/ University of Miami. She incorporates medical, interventional, psychological as well as rehabilitative strategies with the goal of restoring function and general well being.

Dr. Mina co-wrote an article with her Anesthesiology professors at the University of Miami entitled, " Opioid Adjuvants for Multimodal Pain Management" which was published in the July 2011 edition of Anesthesiology News.
